Dear Member

We have had such a strong response for tickets to our next film, The King's Speech, that we will be showing it on two evenings, Friday 27th May and Saturday 28th May. Both performances will be at 7.30pm in The Corn Exchange.

Members are asked to come to the Saturday evening performance, as per your membership cards. This will enable us to make the Friday evening a 'ticket only' showing, and will allow us to sell the greatest number of tickets to the general public, and hence raise the maximum amount for charity.

Admission for non-members is £6, with tickets available from Brydens Newsagents and at the door, subject to availabilty.

Please help us by spreading the word to non-members ensure a full house on the Friday evening!

The King's Speech

Starring Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush and winner of four Oscars, The King's Speech stands to be the most successful British film of all time.

The film charts the lifelong struggle of King George VI, played by Colin Firth, to defeat his stammer, and how a speech therapist, Lionel Logue, played by Geoffrey Rush, helped the King overcome his impediment and find his public speaking voice.

It was directed in 2010 by Tom Hooper, who also directed The Damned United in 2009, together with a string of TV series, among them Elizabeth I, Prime Suspect, Love in a Cold Climate and Cold Feet.
